Fertility Reflexology

shutterstock_360410639Approximately 20 to 25% of couples dealing with sub-fertility (the term used if conception has not occurred naturally after 12 months of ‘trying’), find there is no medical reason. There are many reasons for delays in conceiving, of which the main one is stress. 84% of couples in the general population will conceive within one year if they do not use contraception and have regular intercourse. After two years this increases to 92%.

Fertility reflexology promotes balance and encourages your body to function efficiently whilst reducing stress and anxiety. Your body and mind are re-balanced during treatments and detoxification is promoted, leading to a healthy environment for ovulation and conception.

Can Reflexology help me conceive?

“There is no doubt that reflexology can be an extremely relaxing experience and may help reduce stress which is often a key concern for people with fertility issues. And many people report anecdotally that they believe their reflexology treatments have contributed to them successfully conceiving.” According to the Fertility Reflexology Network.

As part of the treatment an in-depth look will be taken of medical history and lifestyle, which are contributing factors of sub-fertility. This is done in complete confidence and enables me to put together a treatment plan that suits you both.

Men benefit too!

It is very beneficial to treat both partners during this time. Reflexology can naturally bring the couple closer as stress is reduced and make them feel more grounded and more able to cope. Other areas which are related to men’s fertility can balanced, which can be beneficial even if there is no known cause of subfertilty present.

IVF Support

This is such a stressful and unknowing time for couples, especially with the rollercoaster of emotions and the physical impact of drug cycles. I have supported women through this time and in these cases my sessions aim to support, relax and keep you balanced with Fertility Reflexology while you are undergoing conventional fertility drug treatments.

Please always check with the Fertility Clinic/Consultant that they are happy for you to have reflexology during these treatments. My clients have always had a positive response to this request.

You’re in Safe Hands
